Syndicate Sound Session 006 is shaping up to be an incredible occasion. Slated for January 18th, 2025, Suburban Sound Syndicate is headed back to Rookie’s Rochaus in West Dundee, IL. This favored venue has hosted all previous Syndicate Sound Sessions to date, except for legendary episode 001. Through Rookie’s Rochaus, Suburban Sound Syndicate will be able to provide all the show aesthetics and patron amenities they desire like food, merch vendors, flow arts, and top-notch visual displays paired with unbelievable musical talent. I’m Bear Swiftly, the Electro Scribe, and I’m here to share with you all the details of this event kicking off a slew of Syndicate Sound Session episodes throughout 2025 you aren’t going to want to miss.

Nine DJs and producers are set to perform this bass centric event. kLL sMTH, Freddy Todd, Starfox, Blue Future, August Sky, TheBusiness., Pipe Leak, Miles Deep, and Zonik are all signed on. I had the chance to speak with Blue Future, aka Jeremy Olson, where he talked about how meaningful it is seeing longtime friends chasing dreams, accomplishing goals, and scaling their enterprise and influence upwards.

“I, very early in my Blue Future career, squadded up with them. They had come across my music online and saw I was from Elgin. They were right there in West Chicago (Cairo Ale House), and they were like, “Let’s get this guy over here to play our weekly.” We were talking and daydreaming about one day throwing sold-out shows. Sure enough, they kept up with it, and it’s been one of the coolest things to watch grow over the years.”

Even though Jeremy is reflecting on his experience at the now closed Cairo, Suburban Sound Syndicate is the spiritual successor to that community. As a matter of fact, many members of the Cairo family have invested energies and shared talents in helping build Suburban Sound Syndicate to what it is now become. Cairo approved, bay-bee! I asked Blue Future to share with me how his inclusion in this lineup came to be.

“Fates aligning yet again, it was beautiful. I just happened to be back in town, briefly for the holidays last year (2023) to see family. One day, one of my friends was like, “There’s an electronic show happening right down the road.” Hell yeah, let’s go! It just happened to be at the Rochaus, and I’d always wanted to go to a show there because it’s the old Clearwater building. I’d never gotten to actually go into it growing up, and I always hoped there would’ve been cool music playing, because it’s a cool spot. Then I go, and sure enough, there’s a bass music show happening. I started looking around, and it was all my old school friends throwing the thing! I reconnected with them, and I said later in the year, I’ll come back out for another show when you guys are ready, which just so happened to be this kLL sMTH one. Which is perfect, because that’s another all-time favorite artist of mine.”

This packed lineup of performers is reason enough for many to attend, but there is so much more in store. Suburban Sound Syndicate represents a community centric focus and always features as many other art forms as they can. They love giving homies the opportunity to feature their passions and skills, whenever possible. The newly formed Celestial Ember Collective, marshalled by my cosmic twin, Kataya, aka Katlyn Fritch, will be on hand with several of her fellow mavens performing thematic flow artistry. Matt Flowz, Kiara Sade, Downtempbowl, Colleen Crimson, Angie Alchemy, and rjriot will all assemble behind their virtuous leader. Lovely titles, wonderful monikers. Each will be sharing their flare for flow that bristles and burns deep from within their souls.

There’s a stacked lineup of vendors, too. EVOL is returning for this event, as they were on hand for the mythic first Syndicate Sound Session that took place at that now shuttered skate park in Elgin, IL, August 2023. Good to see Misha and his crew returning in 2025 to support the homies. Community involvement has always been part of EVOLs mission statement, and they’ll have gorgeous gear on sale for any and all walkers of life. Joining them is Nomadiknymph, and she’s got all who might be looking for beautiful and sultry clothing options, covered. Transcending Studios creates high quality unique pins, stickers, apparel, and streetwear for anyone looking to upgrade their drip. Josh Melfi returns yet again with WeMakeThings3D, and he always comes equipped with an arsenal of his personally innovative 3D printed items. Galactic Roots Eclectic identifies as an “artistic alien trapped on Earth”, so one can only imagine what this kit-kat be dreaming up for us fellow humans and robots. Additionally, Neo Gaian Creations is a purveyor of 100% upcycled Fae inspired threads. And last, but not least, for all you glass enthusiasts, Guido Glass will be on point, and on site, with unique and artistic glass productions.

But wait, there’s even friggin’ more, bruv!!! I’m not finished until these guys and gals are done adding cool stuff. I’m hyping up hope, why? CUZ I GOTTA! It wouldn’t be a Syndicate Sound Session without the boutique experience provided by live painters, and there are gonna be some delightful visionaries on hand. Step into a creative bubble with the likes of the wonderful Tom Loranz and The Whimsical Libra (exceptional). Truth be told, Tom Loranz is also a tattoo artist, and just finished my shoulder piece with Laura adjacent painting outstanding orchids. Yea, one hell of an atmosphere that Saturday, a lot of realism in the building. Works of art, aren’t we all, and this shoulder piece I now brandish fucking ROARSSSS!!! Or purrs. That fact depends on sense of humor and whether I’m talking to a Michigan graduated biologist or not. Regardless, I’m an interactive art gallery now. Find me on site, and I’ll show you this one-of-a-kind creation with my own accompanying sound effects. All you gotta do is use the following passphrase with me: “When Bear purrs, a biologist’s laughter incurs.”

Joining Tom Loranz and The Whimsical Libra are the likes of Alyssa Alyona, Johnny Lot, Esveidy Aguirre, Skeduleone, and Entheonaut. They’ll be generating images from their minds eye to a soundtrack of bass laden rhythms and melodies. Each of these souls produces unique and impressive art that dazzles eyes, and oftentimes boggles minds, and you can be sure tonight their skill and personalities will captivate your sight!

Speaking of dazzling eyes and boggling minds, the production value of Syndicate Sound Sessions 006 is set to be the best yet at any of their shows to date. The tech heads at Sub Valley Sound are sending their finest, a crew of expert engineers to ensure their Funktion-One rig is tuned perfectly for the onstage performers. Akemi Almeida and her squad will ensure everything sounds impeccable. Visual displays are going to look delicious, too. Jerry Snackman through Deep Frequency Corp is supplying plenty of lasers to scintillate optical orifices. Plus, an LED wall courtesy of Nuvotion, along with several other outstanding VJs controlling visual aesthetics. DJ and VJ pairings are as follows: Nuvotion will handle graphics for Pipe Leak and August Sky. Spun Optiks is handling business for Zonik and TheBusiness., RooT Visuals is supporting Starfox, Maya Visions will share hers with Freddy Todd and Miles Deep, and Jonna P is set to maul the visual effects arena on behalf of kLL sMTH and Blue Future. Boy oh boy, that’s a whole heaping mess of absolute awesome set to take place, visualizers all up in yo’ face!!!

Save the date, January 18th, 2025, at Rookie’s Rochaus in West Dundee, because Syndicate Sound Session 006 will be packed to the gills with amazing entertainment.
