Alright gang, bring it in, because today I’ve got a special presentation for you. This episode is the first of its kind from the Electro Scribe. I’m fashioning a product review for the Datagrama homies, and sharing a story about how their eye-catching designs and awesome products bring sweet and gentle characters together. Through superb efforts, and a dynamic visual game, they’re getting after it. Works of art, respect and applause, they’ve earned my support and that of many others. That’s one of the cool derivations of representing a brand you like, you often meet others that reflect your own vibrancy. Needless to say, I’m going to be gushing about a topic that I absolutely love. Favored items of apparel that are near and dear to my heart: DOPE FRESH SOCKS, YEAH!!!!
Bear Swiftly with me, the Electro Scribe, as I talk about the slick and sleek socks Datagrama Clothing offers. I’ll also touch on some of their other sweet swag, and I’ll share with you a tale of how their highly fashionable items led me to befriending one hella cool kit-kat just by passing by and complimenting her style. Minerva, aka Jenna. I’m excited to share with you my love for socks, and some of my own feelings about fashion. This is all Bear Swiftly approved, we’re getting after it, so let’s go!!!
Personally I think everybody has their own penchant for fashion, uniqueness embedded into how they put themselves together. For some, it’s an arduous process of coordinating colors, textures, and materials. With others, you’ve got your go-to items already set aside. Black, on black, on black… with subtle accents of red. NOICE!!! In my case, I’m a tops and bottoms kind of guy. I match what’s on my feet with what’s on my head, and everything else in between somehow takes care of itself. I definitely coordinate colors, and that’s why having a plentiful arsenal of socks to choose from is integral to my wardrobe. An elite sock game is one of the main reasons why my success rate for looking good excels (besides my upbeat attitude), and I don’t need a spreadsheet to keep track of these wins. Datagrama’s designs works with any and all outfits I put together.
What makes an awesome sock? For me, it starts with the look and feel, and Datagrama socks score phenomenally in both categories. Datagrama takes their visuals and turns them into ambient and comfortable clothing using eco-friendly materials. Their socks are composed of 80% combed cotton, 15% nylon, and 5% spandex. They’re one size fits all, so no more worrying about finding the perfect sock size for your feet. I believe the shoptalk they use is, Reaction Diffusion Effect Socks, and these make excellent gifts for friends and family members. I can attest to this, I’ve gifted at least a few pairs to those I adore, who received them with glittering eyes and cheerful smiles upon their face. Score! Currently, they’re offering seven varieties through their online storefront. However, I’ve recently returned from the final Tipper and Friends where they released at least one new color, red and black, and I think a brand-new tie-dye design as well.

It’s not just sweet sock designs the Datagrama crew is adapting for the homies. They also have holographic decals, sweet stickers, hats, hoodies, beanies, tank tops and t-shirts, towels, and scarfs too. Pashminas? You can call it that, they don’t mind (nor do I), but it’s actually a silk and bamboo scarf, 30 and 70 percent, respectively. All awesome, comfortable, and unique, just like those who wear them. Now, let me tell you this story about how I came to meet a vibrant intellect, Jenna, thanks to Datagrama’s style and design.
So I’m walking out of Jade Cicada at Outset, in Chicago. If my memory serves correct, the date was September 14, 2024. It was a scintillating show with Smigonaut supporting, and I’m feeling pretty darn good after this showcase. As I navigate through throngs of bodies outside the venue, my eyes catch a pleasant looking young lady with a gorgeous scarf wrapped about her shoulders. It’s the bamboo and silk design I mentioned earlier. I recognize the design, same one that’s on my feet, so I engage a wholesome exchange, cuz we vibin’ out here in dis community, you feel me?
“Yooo, is that Datagrama Visuals you’re representing?” She politely answers something like, “You know it,” and I come back with, “Hell yea girl, you’re killing it!” Mission accomplished, she’s feeling good and seen, and I continue on my way without breaking a step.
It’s a few months later, and I’m covering Tycho’s live band and performance at the Salt Shed. Let me check my memory banks again, I’m fairly certain it was November 15. I’m kicking it with my guy, Maxwell, the Great Stream and the one-of-a-kind Sondrita, when a lovely young lady walks by. I notice she’s rocking a Rendezvous hoodie. Rendezvous was one of the most magical trips I’ve ever had, where I originally discovered Datagrama Clothing and their elite sock game, so I speak aloud, “She’s wearing a Rendezvous hoodie, nice!” Innocuous as this comment seems, she and her homie, Zach, hear me and decide to come over and say hello. I notice she’s rocking Doc Martens and Datagrama socks on her feet, so I show off my own khaki and black pair, too, paired with my Adidas Terrex boots. We’re vibing about Datagrama Visuals and all the dopeness they do when a memory activates in Minerva’s mind. She looks at me and says, “Were you the guy who complimented my scarf after Jade Cicada at Outset?” Caught red-handed again, spreading goodwill and cheer, and it’s not even Christmas yet!
We originally bonded over fashion, but we’ve come to find a few more things in common beyond socks and looking slick. We both like cats, good friends and food, honesty and integrity, and spreading healthy vibes wherever we can. That’s just the tip of the iceberg, my friend. While we were doing our thing this past Tipper and Friends, rocking Datagrama drip on the daily and looking fly AF, I got the idea to do this sock review. I know Chris and the rest of the Datagrama team will appreciate it, so I asked Jenna if she wanted to be part of it. She gladly accepted, so we set aside some time once we returned to our respective homes and states for a chat about Datagrama Clothing. The following are some snippets of commentary from our conversation, where we discuss how a fire pair of socks makes us feel. Plus, I’ll include some words we associate with Datagrama Clothing, much like the following: fantastic, upstanding, nifty, scintillating, original, cool, keepsake socks, or FUN SOCKS as an acronym. Yea, that hits right. Committing to memory.
I asked Jenna how she feels when she puts on a pair of Datagrama Visuals socks. She supplied me with these thoughts, “I feel fresh. They’re so stylish. I work in MRI (technologist), so I’m looking at brains all day, and [the design] reminds me of the brain. The music that [they’re] paired with is always hella cerebral.” Datagrama Visuals is a collective of artists-coders who do live visuals and art installation using generative design, and that comes directly from their linked.in.
Jenna and I got to talking about the wholesome folks who make up the Datagrama Clothing team, where I’ve had nothing but friendly and fantastic encounters with Chris (we both like shapes). For Jenna, her representative is Echo, another gracious human. As far as customer service is concerned, and resolving any issues that may arise, Jenna shared this thought. “They’re really responsive and care a lot about customer service.” Agreed, there’s a lot of love in what they’re putting forth towards others.
As we neared the end of our conversation, we played a word association game where we described these socks with single words, like fleek. What does fleek mean? It’s a newer term, circa 2014, meaning exactly right or perfectly done. Here’s what Jenna had to say in describing these terrific socks. “Funky, fabulous, stuntin’, fierce, sultry,” and I’ll contribute fly, intelligent, and inspiring from my own lexicon of heady descriptors.
Datagrama Clothing, and especially their socks, are super durable and bear resistant. Literally, I still have my first couple of pairs of socks that I’ve been wearing for over a year now, and they have yet to fade or tear. Knock on wood, which I’ll make sure to do. Sometimes I walk through local forests and sanctuaries bearfoot in these socks. Is sockfoot a term? Pfffttt, it is now! Anyway, if you make a product that can handle all the activities that I engage in, you’re doing something right.
Before ending this sock review, I asked Jenna to share a final thought considering Datagrama Clothing socks and apparel. She echoed my own sentiments. “They make the best gifts, they’re reasonably priced, they hold up for a very long time, and they have a color to match anything you want to wear.” Perfectly said, Minerva. Goddess Night!!!

Datagrama Clothing earns an Electro Scribe seal of approval, the first I’ve ever awarded. They earned it through their terrific and friendly demeanor and exceptionally well-made products. If you’d like to add some impressive socks or other items of attire to your own personal wardrobe so you can feel fresh and look on fleek, check out the Datagrama Clothing website, the official store for merchandise for Datagrama Visuals. Also, give their brands a follow on Instagram @datagramaclothing and @datagrama_visuals. Datagrama Clothing is kind of like a calling card for excellence. If you see someone rocking their designs, and you are too, you know they’re a kindred spirit of a different level.
That’s all for this episode, and I want to thank Minerva, aka Jenna, for being part of it through her commentary and photos. This is Bear Swiftly, the Electro Scribe, signing off. Sayonara all you Samurai.
Be well, be successful. Bear Swiftly.
